Samuel Lukins, a member of the Society of Friends, asks the court to rescind an earlier judgment against him. Lukins states that John S. and Ann Camden petitioned for the possession of a slave and for financial compensation from his hire. Lukins charges that "he should not be bound thereby" because the decree was "founded upon a mistake in the law."
