Abstract
Sarah Clements, widow of Francis Clements, states that she and Joseph Green have been named executors of her late husband's estate, which includes slaves. Sarah has been "advised that she as his widow is entitled to one half of the estate now to be distributed." The petitioner asks the court to pass an order directing that "one half thereof be given to your petitioner as the widow's reasonable part & right."
