John Elliott is married to Sarah Warfield, daughter of the late Vachel Warfield. Elliott charges that Vachel's administrator, Charles Warfield, did not report all of the deceased's property to the court. He avers that Charles concealed an 8- or 9-year-old slave named Kitty by claiming that the girl had been given to Bennetta Warfield when in fact said "Girl always remained in possession of the deceased until his death." Elliott claims that Charles also hid "a quantity of Rye and Tobacco four head of Horned cattle and Seven bed quilts." Elliott asks the court to summon Charles Warfield to explain his actions.
