Abstract
Charles and Jacob Waters allege that Ephraim Marriott has failed to repay a debt secured by the mortgage of three slaves. The petitioners ask the court to subpoena Marriott to answer their claims. The trustee's report reveals that two of the slaves were married and that all three were sold at auction for the sum of $540 to the same purchaser.
