Joseph E. Cowman, executor of the estate of Henrietta Hall, asks the court to authorize a reappraisal of "the young negroes left by the said Henrietta Hall that are not entitled to their freedom on Account of their Infancy." He also seeks permission to sell them "at Private or public sale for cash or a credit," provided he obtains the amount of their reappraised value.
