Flora Noble, Cassandra Harris, and Jacob Newton were once slaves belonging to William Shaw, now deceased. Shaw manumitted them in his will and bequeathed each of them fifty dollars. They claim that they have requested the money from the executors of Shaw's will, Samuel Wilson and Robert Galloway, but the executors have refused to pay them. The petitioners pray the court to subpoena Wilson and Galloway and to order them to pay the legacies owed, with interest.
