Abstract
The trustees of the African Methodist Bethel Church state that the allegations made in an earlier petition "touching the conduct of your petitioners as trustees are wholy untrue." They also deny having ever "refused to give an account or make report of their proceedings & doings to the congregation." They ask that the previous petition be dismissed. The related documents include a resolution bearing the names of more than 300 members of the A. M. E. congregation.
