William Cushua, executor of the estate of the late Elizabeth Prather, requests that Amy Thompson be permitted to remain in Washington County. Thompson, "a mulatto Servant Woman belonging to said deceased," has recently been manumitted. Cushua states that Thompson "is a woman of industrious habits" and "good character and in his opinion deserving of a permit as prayed."
