Marean M. Duvall petitions the court to lengthen the term of service of his slave named Isaiah and to grant him permission to sell the slave "in or out of the State." The petitioner explains that Isaiah has run away twice "without the slightest provocation" and that transporting him back to Anne Arundel County and retrieving him from jail has been expensive. Duvall further charges that Isaiah "prefers to be sold" and refuses to stay in Duvall's possession.
