Abstract

Mary P. Baldwin, guardian of Thomas P. Baldwin, petitions the court to extend the term of service of Robert, Thomas Baldwin's slave, "so as to reimburse her ward for the loss he has sustained" and to punish Robert for having run away. She also asks the court to "inform the said boy the consequences of his running off a second time."
