John Pettibone asks the court to extend Peter Anderson's term of service as compensation for the slave's recent attempt at running away. Pettibone explains that Peter is "of a bad and unmanageable temper and disposed to be habitually impudent and unruly." He requests reimbursement for his expenses and loss of time, explaining that Peter's "absenting himself at this season of the year" has been a particular hardship.
