Samuel Davidson declares that his term slave named Eliza "is in the habit of running away" and "pilfering from your petitioner considerable sums of money and other articles of value that may come in her way." Repeated warnings have "appearantly had little or no effect upon her." Davidson petitions the court to extend Eliza's term of service and to authorize her sale in or out of the state of Maryland.
