- Court: Orphans
- Salutation: To the Honorable the Judges of the Orphans Court for Anne Arundel County
Abstract
Frank H. Stockett, guardian of Richard P. Sellman, reports that he has yet to file an account of his ward's property. Stockett is also the administrator of the estate of Richard's father, Alfred Sellman. Richard's portion of the estate includes slaves valued at $8650. Stockett asks the court to appoint someone to appraise the yearly value of his ward's slaves. He also asks for a credit for the slave Rebecca who "has since died." He proposes to keep the slaves until January first in order to secure the crops already planted and then hire out the slaves who are not elderly or extremely young to "the person who shall rent the farm."
Result: Granted.
