Anon and Amelia Killingsworth and Joseph Brashears are heirs to the estate of Turner B. Brashears, who died possessed of about twenty slaves, several plantations, land, and other personal property. The petitioners seek to receive the value of a slave man who was destroyed by the "unjustifiable cruelty" of the estate executor, William H. Nelson, and a distribution of the assets "remaining in the hands of the said Executor & Executrix between your Petitioners & themselves in such proportions as to Your Honor may seem right."
