William B. Wilkinson, administrator of Henry Wilkinson's estate, "is anxious & desirous of bring the said estate to a speedy close for the benefit of those entitled thereto." He asks that he be granted "an order of sale of all the personal property, or so much thereof as may be necessary for distribution & debts, on hand belonging to said estate including the crops now in market." A tax receipt reveals that the estate held twenty-three slaves in 1843.
