Pool.  Although Rebecca was warranted to be sound, she began displaying signs of mental illness soon after the Sappingtons took possession of her.  After a few months, Rebecca \"in a frantic mode ... wandered to the river fell or jumped in and was drowned.\"  The Sappingtons charge that Pool knew the slave was unsound when she sold her.
