William B. Weaver, administrator of the estate of John S. White, asks to sell "the whole of Said Lands" in the estate, along with "Two of the Negro Slaves to wit Betsy a Girl & Matthew a Man," and "to sell the Crop of Cotton at private sale." Weaver maintains that "it is necessary to sell the property above mentioned at once" because of "the conditions of the debts of said Estate." He also asks that commissioners be appointed to divide fifteen other slaves among the heirs.
