Frederick and Malvina Bone Schwartz along with Eveline Bone seek to settle a dispute concerning a slave who was a part of the estate of Henry Bone. They state that in January 1835, Samuel Ferandis was appointed guardian of Bone's minor heirs. Shortly thereafter Ferandis sold "a negro woman slave named Priscilla," property of the estate, to Lenora Bone for $631, payable at a future date. Lenora soon married John Alverson, and in 1837, Alverson sold Priscilla to Daniel Goodwin, now deceased. The petitioners ask the court to investigate the legality of the sales and to award them compensation for their two-thirds share along with interest of either the hire or sale of Priscilla and her children.
