Abstract
Thomas Wells seeks to be appointed the administrator of the estate of Mary Wells. The petitioner states that his mother died "leaving a small personal estate consisting of one old negro woman, 1 negro girl some few cattle & hogs, one horse & some little house hold furniture supposed to be worth about twelve hundred dollars." Wells reports that his mother died in late May 1853.
