Abstract
Eliza Jane Cannon states that, since the death of her husband, she has managed the care of her children, Thomas Emmons, Susan A. and William R. Cannon. She therefore prays that she may be appointed as their guardian "to secure and protect all the rights of said minors ... in the distribution of the estate" of their late father, whose estate contains slaves.
