William H. Vasser represents that he recovered a $765.25-judgment in 1858 against George W. Henderson and others. Vasser reports that the said Henderson conveyed five slaves in trust to his wife in 1857 and an enslaved mother and her three children were sold in 1850 for $1350. Avowing that these transactions were "made with the intent to make a provision for his said wife and children at the expense of his creditors," the petitioner prays that the deed "be declared fraudulent & void and set aside" and that said slaves "may be sold and the monies arising from such sale and their hire" be appropriated "to the payment of your Orator's judgment."
