Abstract
Thomas G. Stockett is the "former owner of a certain negro boy Freedman named, Edmond Lowy aged about 9 years." Stockett "prays your Honorable Court will order and direct the clerk of this Honorable Court to apprentice said minor to him by Indenture until he is twenty one years." Judy Lowy consents "that my son Edmond Lowy mentioned in the above petition be apprenticed to my former master Thomas G Stockett."
