Abstract
William C. Robnett and others claim that they have rights to the estate of the late John J. Cotton. They inform the court that Cotton owned at least five slaves at the time of his death. They ask the court to partition the slaves in Cotton's estate according to their various interests. If a fair partition is not possible, the heirs request that the slaves be sold and the proceeds be divided among them.
