Ann Sawyer complains that her husband Spencer Sawyer has abandoned her and her child, turning them out of their residence, whereupon he began living in adultery with a woman named Judith Sawyer. Ann fears that he will sell his land and slaves, worth two thousand dollars, and move out of the state. A portion of the property came to her following her father's death. She asks for alimony and that her husband be enjoined from selling any property.
