Abstract
John Cox, executor of the will of Mary Bissell, deceased, seeks to send seven slaves to West Africa through the auspices of the American Colonization Society as instructed by Bissell's will. He is unable to do so because a number of relatives in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee have "claims set up to said slaves." He therefore asks the court for relief and seeks to comply with the wishes of the deceased.
