David W. Bell, administrator of the estate of Benjamin W. Thorpe, explains that one of Thorpe's slaves, Henry, has obtained false freedom papers and plans "to escape to some non slaveholding state." Bell asks to sell Henry, and apply the proceeds "in due course of administration."
