Abstract
Slaves Harry and Mary, owned by Alexander McKay, deny they are guilty of murdering John McQueen and concealing his body as charged. They seek writs of habeas corpus ordering the sheriff to bring them before the court. A related court order reveals that the charge was dropped within a few days and that Harry and Mary were released from jail.
