Abstract

Albert Henry Mullen desires to surrender his trust. He represents that on 2 January 1787 a certain John Christian Smith "executed a Bond to the petitioner by which he bound himself in the Sum of Four Thousand Pounds Sterling Money with a Condition thereunder within;" said condition is "that in Case the Wife [of] the said John Christian Should survive him, he the said John Christians Heirs Excrs or Adms should with Trustee shortly thereafter the Death of the said John Christian pay over to the Wife of the said Smith the sum of Fifteen Hundred Pounds Sterling & should also deliver over to her sundry Negroes & other personal property of the said John Christian." Revealing that "he is nominated in the said Bond as the Trustee for Mary Dorothy Smith, the wife of the said John Christian," the petitioner "prays your Honors to discharge him of the same."
