Abstract
Thomas F. Jones seeks "the seal of the said Court" to authorize him to bring two slaves from North Carolina to South Carolina. The slaves, Isaac and Violet, were part of his wife's "marriage portion" from her father, William Lenoir. Three North Carolina residents attest to the "good and peaceable character" of each slave. Violet is a mulatto.
