Petition #21382114

Abstract

The three adult daughters, joined by their respective husbands, and the adult son of the late David Lipscomb seek a writ of partition of their late father's estate. David Lipscomb died sometime in 1816, survived by several children, six of whom are minors. Lipscomb owned two slaves, Amy and Elias. The petitioners ask the court to divide the slaves among them, ordering their sale if necessary, with the proceeds divided among them. They also ask that the minor heirs of the late David Lipscomb be named as party defendants to the bill, along with their guardian.
