Abstract
"the Humble Petition of Mesheck Hardy Sylva Hardy his Wife shows that your Petitioners are free negros of Colour Mesheck about 60 years of Age and Sylva about 56. years Old, and is desirous to have a guardian appointed for them, therefore your petitioners pray that Garner Self, be appointed their guardian, & your petitioners in duty bound, will ever pray."
