Elias Horlbeck, administrator of the estate of his late father, Henry Horlbeck, seeks a partition of Henry's estate among his eleven children. Of particular concern is property that Henry owned in partnership with John Horlbeck, when the pair was "Copartners carrying on the business of Brick Masons, under the firm of John & Henry Horlbeck." Henry Horlbeck died intestate shortly after the men dissolved their business ties. Elias Horlbeck asks the court to issue a writ of partition of the partnership property, which includes at least 120 slaves. The heirs have recently come to a "satisfactory" agreement respecting said partition, which Elias Horlbeck asks the court to sanction by their decree.
