Elizabeth Johnson requests that John Cooper be appointed her guardian. Johnson explains that "her Father & mother are both dead" and she and her older sister are "their only surviving Children." The petitioner reports "that she is entitled to a small property inherited from the Grandmother of your Petitioner" that "consists of a Negro Girl & some four or five hundred Dollars to be divided between your Petitioner & her elder Sister." Citing that she "has no one to take charge of her Person & Estate," she prays that John Cooper be so appointed.
