Martha Jackson seeks permission to transport six slaves, who are held in trust for her by Henry Nichols. The petitioner states that her husband, William Jackson, has already removed to Georgia, and, "being desirous to join her husband," she applied to the Georgia court to appoint a new trustee. She reports that Joseph Chastain of Cobb County has accepted the position and that Henry Nichols, her current trustee, has agreed to transfer the slaves, who include Jane and Ibbey and Ibbey's three children and grandson. The petitioners ask that Henry Nichols be authorized to deliver these slaves to Martha Jackson and Joseph Chastain.
