The minor children of the late Thomas Blunt ask that the court decree "a partition & division of the slaves" that once belonged to their father. They explain that Blunt devised his slave property to his widow Ann for the duration of her life. However, the said Ann "hath released & surrendered up her estate for life" and has converted it to a trust estate "for the sole use & benefit of your orators, the surviving children of the said Thom." The heirs agree that such a division "will be greatly to the advantage" of the said parties.
