Rebecca Bass recounts that nine years ago she filed a bill against her husband, William Bass, wherein she prayed "to be divorced from his Bed and Board and to have an Alimony or seperate Maintainance allowed her." She reports that "your worships considered the Prayer of your Oratrix reasonable as well as found her Allegations in her Bill true." She reveals that the court "sequestered or directed to be sequestered only the profits of the Estate or supposed Profits of the Estate of the Defendant ... and alloted to your Oratrix what your worships considered to be a third part thereof." Pointing out that she "is still without Relief and has hitherto received no Support from the Estate of her said Husband," Rebecca seeks a review of the previous decree and an award of "the full amount to this Time of such Sums as were decreed to be paid her."
