Carolina." Noting that Lawrence has "departed this life intestate," Rebecca reports that she was put to "the trouble and expence of raising and maintaining" his own children as well as three children of Dinah. The petitioner seeks "compensation for supporting her own and Dinah's children for the space of upwards five years" and asks that a "dower in the lands and personal estate except the negroes aforesaid" be assigned to her.
