Ann Johnson, widow of Osmond Johnson, seeks her distributive share of the estate of her late daughter, Evelina Johnson. Since Ann's allotment of dower in 1829, Evelina has died under twenty-one and intestate. Johnson petitions that it is now necessary to divide Evelina's share of Osmond's slaves between herself and her other daughter, Harriet Johnson.
