Abstract
Samuel Francis McKowan, Daniel Janney, Lucy Ann Janney and six minors jointly own ten slaves. The petitioners ask that commissioners be appointed to divide the slaves equitably among the parties. If a division cannot "be effected," they "pray the Decree of this Court to direct a sale of the said slaves and a distribution of the proceeds according to the rights of all the parceners."
