Abstract
William F., Mary E., Franklin, and Ewen G. Harris seek to replace John W. James of Tennessee with Robert D. Walker, as trustee to certain jointly owned property. The petitioners have been embroiled in a lawsuit concerning title to a slave woman, Katy, whom they bought in Tennessee in 1856. The petitioners also seek the court's permission for Walker to present a bill of mortgage in order to have money to pay the debts incurred by legal fees in the Tennessee lawsuit.
