David Stewart agrees to never sell or dispose of Polly to any one who would take her outside of the District of Columbia; that she "should never be sold to a foreign Negro Buyer or trader in Negroes for the purpose of taking her out of the District." Signed on 18 April 1818 by Amelia T. Dorsett. In the left margin of the handwritten Liber the following is written: "Ex[amined] and Delivered to grantee [David Stewart] June 19, 1821"
