Abstract

Certificate of slaves was recorded on 30 April 1820. George Sweeny states that he brought a Negro girl called Sinah, age about 7 or 8, into the District of Columbia from Virginia about 20 March 1820. He also states that she was "acquire by marriage with Mary H. Hooe of Virginia, by allotment made pursuant to the will of the late Richard Chic[k]erste[n] of Fairfax Co., Virginia.
