Manumission was recorded on 8 September 1820. William Blanchard of Washington City in the District of Columbia and Charles Glover, for divers good causes and considerations, sets free a Negro woman named Fanney age about 41 of a dark yellow color, who has lost her two fore upper teeth, and is able to obtain a living for herself. Signed on 8 September 1820 by William Blanchard and Charles Glover. In the left margin of the handwritten Liber the following is written: "examined and delivered to Negro Fanney 8th September 1820"
