Deed of gift was recorded on IO July 1821. John Scott of Washington Co., District of Columbia states that in consideration of the natural love and affection he has for his daughter Pamelia Scott* he has given a Negro girl named Sarah age I 4. Signed by John Scott on 13 June 1821. In the left margin of the handwritten Liber the following is written: "* [ and] for the better maintenance, support, livelihood and performance of the said Pamelia Scott (examined and delivered to grantee per order)"
