To all people to whom these presents shall come, I, Samuel Fulton Senior of the State of North Carolina and County of Guilford (send and gone). Know ye that I the said Samuel Fulton Senior for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which I have and bear unto my beloved son Thomas Fulton of said State and County and for many other good causes me thereunto moving have given and granted by these presents do give and grant unto the Stated Thomas Fulton a Negro boy named Jacob to have and to hold and enjoy all the property of Stated Negroe Jacob during his life time at his decease the stated Negro Jacob shall be the property of his the said Thomas Fulton Heirs and assigns executors administrators and forever and the stated Sam Fulton Senior for my Heirs or assigns executors administrators do warrant and forever defend the right and property of stated Negroe Jacob unto the stated Thomas Fulton his Heirs and forever clear of all incumbrances whereunto I set my hand and seal the third day of December 1813.
