High Sheriff of Rowan County Isaac Jones says he “…did seize and take into custody and possess a certain negro girl the property of said Elijah Marlin named Honor about fifteen years old…”. The document was signed January 1, 1828, presented in Court November 1828 and registered January 16, 1829.
