Bill of Sale, nearly 12 years after the fact. Wilson and Rhody Norman sold “one Negro girl called Lewcindy” to Micager (?) Philips for $125, with “delivery” on December 6,1843. Lewcindy is “enshured to be sound and healthy”, but there is nothing further in the document about her age or relationships, or explaining why it took so long to get the sale registered with the Court. Presented in Court July 1855 and registered September 20, 1855.
