TAKEN UP and committed to the Jail of Cabarrus County, N. C. on the 27th of July last, a Negro Man aged about 60 years, who calls himself JOHN, says he belongs to Dan'l. [Daniel] McRae, that he left his master near Charlotte, N. C. on his way to Mississippi. John has a deformed thumb, dark complection, gray headed. The owner is requested to come forward, prove property, pay charges and take him away, or he will be dealt with as the Law directs. L. B. KRIMMINGER, Sheriff. August 25th, 1843. 69--tf
